advanced Integrated design project for sustainable building Using BIM

  • Open to students that have completed three years of higher education in Civil Engineering or a related field 
  • High level lecturers from International universities &companies
  • A tailored mix of lectures, tutored group sessions, practical applications,  and independent group works over a period of 4,5 MONTHS 
  • Choice  of lectures depending on  students background
  • A group dedicated to International students
  • Working language English- B2 level required
  • Project teams , dedicated lectures, technical visit, access to research lab
  • Assessment by 3 projects  & 4 technical visits + 1 lab experiment
  • Successful project awarded with 30 ECTS credit points : International Full semester

  • 1 Exam ( 1H30) + 1 study case ( 2 H to 3H ??? ) <=> needed a visio per study case // per module 
  • Report and Defense as Design Engineer or Junior Researcher (internship)
  • Report and Defense as Contractor (Workshops)

Courses Content

Learning Outcomes

The built environment 

The students should have knowledge about : 

  • the basic components of the urban built environment (different type of facilities such a as buildings, area networks, urban infrastructure, communications, …) and how these are interconnected 
  • the environmental impact of different solutions 
  • resourcing materials and components 

 

The students should be able to :

  • understand the needs on the community level and define basic characteristics of specific components of the built environment for a given context 
  • evaluate different approaches in urban renewal (deconstruction-reconstruction, refurbishment, retrofitting, reuse of materials and/or components, …) 
  • identify basic information needs from different stakeholder perspectives (employer, project delivery organisation, contractor, operator, …) and for the different phases of the facility life-cycle
