BFIeP - Low Environmental Impact Precast Concrete

The BFIeP project was born from 3 current observations:

  • National and regional policies encourage the increasing use of recycled materials in construction;
  • Need to integrate the circular economy and environmental performance into the building sector;
  • The work of the national Recybéton project shows that it is possible to go beyond the substitution rates currently defined in the standards.

Thus, the objectives of the project will be to develop recycling in construction to promote the marketing of an innovative product that goes beyond current standards. To do this, the project will be based on the design and implementation of a pilot building in Normandy which will be monitored in situ for several months.

For more information, please visit the BFIeP project page.

This project was made possible thanks to the support of the Programme d'Investissement d'Avenir (PIA) and the Agence de la Transition Ecologique (ADEME) for 56% of the budget, i.e. nearly 1 million euros.
