BUILDERS Engineering School wins the CGE Teaching Innovation Prize with the GALAADD project

BUILDERS École d'ingénieurs continues to push back the boundaries of higher education by winning the Prix de l'Innovation Pédagogique 2024 awarded by the Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE). The award honours GALAADD, a flagship project that is reinventing the way we teach and learn.

The GALAADD project: spearheading educational innovation

Supported by the Direction de l’ Educational Innovation ( DIP ) and funded by the CCCA-BTP , the project GALAADD was rolled out over three years before being completed in 2023. It enabled BUILDERS to equip itself with a Gaming Lab , a space dedicated to edutainment and equipped with state-of-the-art tools such as a 3D printer, laser engraver , as well as a range of resources to support the’ learning through play.

The project's concrete achievements include

The creation of three serious games , used in course but also on lounges or during open days :
- The Askiar formula, a video game on concrete formulation.
- Cosmic Cosy Quest, an escape game on the concept of building comfort.
- 4 Rue aux fromages, a board game about the resilience of cities to climate change.
The skills development of the’ educational innovation , who now puts her talents to work for the school's teachers as well as outside partners.
