The project SciCoNum, supported by Didask, is aimed at transforming teaching practices by means of a educational innovation based on cognitive sciences and learning. This project is part of a digital education, by proposing teacher training focused on educational uses of digital technology efficient.

Towards digital teaching practices informed by cognitive science and educational innovation

The programme is structured around two major innovations:

  • All the systems are based on a common foundation evidence-based teaching, based on cognitive sciences to develop digital tools for learning that really improve pupils' and students' understanding and retention of knowledge.
  • A systemic approach is implemented within the partner structures that employ teachers: in addition to the training modules, a systemic approach is implemented within the partner structures that employ teachers. innovative educational training, a complete ecosystem of’pedagogical support is deployed. This includes tools, day-to-day monitoring in the field and a in-service teacher training, to ensure a genuine transforming teaching practices in their daily lives.

Project actions

The consortium is made up of 17 partners, covering the five areas of the specifications:

  • Action 1: Development of initial and in-service teacher training school via the Inspé and EAFC in the academies of’Aix-Marseille, Poitiers, Versailles and Grenoble, as well as the national digital training for teachers M@gistère.
  • Action 2: Strengthening the in-service training and professional development for teachers from digital superior in 5 partner establishments, including BUILDERS School of Engineering, the Galileo Global Education Business Unit, l'IPSA Toulouse engineering school, l'Hauts-de-France Regional Institute for Social Work, and FORE Alternance Guadeloupe.
  • Action 3: Involvement of 4 non-profit or private organisations to offer innovative educational training at national level, aimed at teachers and trainers (Didask, association Learning and Training with Cognitive Sciences, agency Cog'X, Challenges team).
  • Action 4: Implementation of training and tools for professionals in the digital didactics, including partnerships with Didask, the IRIT laboratory, and EdTech HDF as part of the DU EdTech at the University of Lille.
  • Action 5: Animation of third places dedicated to training, innovation and research in the digital education, in particular by PACA with L'Épopée (Synergie Family) and in Hauts-de-France via the network EdTech Hauts-de-France.

 

A supported project for the future of education and technology

The initiative SciCoNum is a concrete response to the challenges of the’education and technology, by enabling integrating digital technology into the classroom based on effective approaches evidence-based. Its impact has been strengthened by the support of the French government through the AMI «Compétences et Métiers d'Avenir» ("Skills and Professions of the Future") initiative of the French government. France 2030 programme, operated by Caisse des Dépôts (La Banque des Territoires).
