POME, a project to help people choose meaningful careers

The global changes of the Anthropocene, first and foremost climate change, the extinction of species, the depletion of resources, the effects of pollution and energy crises, are upheavals whose manifestations are brutal and uncontrolled by societies.

In this context, higher education and research establishments (ESR) must commit themselves fully and become key players in training, research and innovation, because it is essential to train students and professionals capable of responding to current and future challenges in a sustainable way. This involves both the initial training of students and a strengthening of lifelong learning for socio-economic players.

Project objectives

  • Identify the needs of different target audiencess in terms of guidance.
  • Raising awareness of the social and societal challenges of the ecological transition and the appropriate training courses.
  • Promoting DDRS-oriented professions and related training in Normandy.

  • Improving general awareness of the environmental, economic, social and societal challenges of Sustainable Development.
