CAP’ (Cohesion, Acculturation and Professionalisation)

AUVERGNE-RHONE-ALPES CAMPUS
CAMPUS NORMANDIE

What is CAP?

It consists of proposing a programme of actions in line with the school's SDRS (Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility) strategy and aims to :

  • Encouraging’ integration
  • Learn more about the construction , its jobs and its environmental issues
  • Developing a culture learner
  • Promoting the values of citizenship

In order to arouse interest and win the support of learners, the teaching approach chosen is resolutely active, even disruptive in the format of the actions chosen, their organisation and their pace.

Format of the main actions :

  • Serious games sessions in VR (virtual reality) or AR (augmented reality)
  • Participatory workshops photolanguage, frescoes, passe-parole, machines by Rube Goldberg
  • Conferences, debates, round tables
  • Visits to green worksites , The event will feature a number of activities, including a series of exhibitions on sustainable development, eco-neighbourhoods, a research laboratory on bio-sourced building materials, urban observation walks and street theatre.
  • Theatre, concerts, themed evenings
  • Exhibitions of scientific work
  • Interviews with coaching personal development

Three progressive phases:

  • The acclimatisation phase , A week of immersion, dedicated to group work and experimentation with collective intelligence.
  • The awareness phase , At the beginning of October, a second week of immersion is dedicated to raising awareness of the ecological transition.
  • The maturation phase runs throughout the rest of the school year, with actions linked to personal development, the creation of a culture of equality, the fight against discrimination and inclusive practices.

The proposed actions aim to raise awareness and develop knowledge or skills in one of the areas covered by the scheme:

  • Living well together
  • The environmental challenges of the Anthropocene era
  • Learning how to learn

In order to carry out this dense and comprehensive programme, CAP’ is fed, among other things, by the deliverables of projects developed by the school's Department of Pedagogical Innovation (DIP):

The project InEDi ( project-inedi.fr ) brings together the actions of 6 establishments on Caen's north campus and aims to promote inclusion, equality and tolerance and to prevent social exclusion. VSS (Sexist and Sexual Violence) on a large scale.

The GaLaADD project ( Game Lab for learning about sustainable development ) involves creating fun educational resources on the challenges of sustainable construction and the ecological transition.
