Maritime Engineering Event 2026: Highlights from a successful 3rd edition in Caen

A 3rd edition dedicated to climate action.

The 2026 Maritime Engineering Event concluded in Caen after three inspiring days of conferences, scientific exchanges, and expert discussions. This third edition brought together professionals, researchers, and institutional partners.

The event focused on four key themes that guided the various sessions:

Technological and digital innovation in support of life
Integrated design and engineering of structures and systems
Coastal protection and resilience
Energy transition and maritime sovereignty

These four themes reflect the key challenges that the maritime engineering sector is facing today.

A series of high-level conferences and scientific sessions.

Over the course of these three days, numerous experts shared their knowledge through dedicated conferences and scientific sessions. These exchanges helped explore today’s key maritime engineering challenges by combining industrial, academic, and institutional perspectives.
