Innovative training of excellence

The speciality Decarbonised energy (Nuclear) with integrity :

  • Theoretical and practical courses : Modules on the decarbonised energy ecosystem, the fuel cycle and the principle of radioactivity, a common thread project that brings together skills in calculating and modelling industrial buildings and nuclear power plants and management skills to understand the overall progress of the site (co-activity).
  • Safety approach In-depth training in nuclear safety, safety requirements for the life of the building and the worksite and in decommissioning nuclear facilities to guarantee the safety and sustainability of projects.
  • Innovative technologies : Use of nuclear reactor technologies the latest generation, innovative materials and digital tools to simulate and optimise the design of nuclear facilities.

This pathway offers future engineers the opportunity to develop skills in all areas of the atomic engineering, emissions, strengthening their ability to meet the challenges of the energy transition and reducing CO₂ emissions.

A structured, international programme

The course is structured in semesters, enabling a gradual build-up of skills from the first year through to validation of the final semester. The strengths of the programme include :

  • Specialised modules at nuclear engineering and sciences nuclear technologies integrating fuel cycle and analysis of nuclear reactor technologies.
  • A education focused on real-world practice through design/build projects involving nuclear reactors, power stations and’nuclear facilities.

The innovation-focused programme also includes lessons on waste management and the decommissioning nuclear facilities, These are essential in the context of the energy transition.

Partnerships and industrial network

In order to ensure a perfect match with market needs and the evolution of the technologies, BUILDERS School of Engineering is supported by a network of prestigious partners and strategic collaborations:

  • Major industrial players : Partnerships with EDF and Eiffage
  • Institutions and laboratories : BUILDERS Engineering school is including a partner in the 3NC “Normandie Nucléaire, Nouvelles Compétences” project, part of the France 2030 recovery plan.

These partnerships enable students to carry out collaborative projects in real-life conditions, ranging from the design of new products to the development of new technologies. nuclear reactors optimising nuclear facilities, through innovation in the field of atomic engineering.
